Raiffeisen Bank Aval again heads the rating “Top 20 Most Reliable Banks in Ukraine”

Kyiv. 8 April. — Raiffeisen Bank Aval has headed the ranking “Top 20 Most Reliable Banks in Ukraine” by the Novoye Vremia magazine for the fourth year running.

On 4 April, the Novoye Vremia magazine published the rating of the most reliable banks of the country made jointly with the investment company Dragon Capital by their performance results for 2018.

The journalists of the magazine comment Raiffeisen Bank Aval’s 1st position in the ranking as follows: ”The bank has got the highest scores in the categories “Shareholders’ Support”, “Assets’ Quality” and “The Largest Deposit Holder among Commercial Banks”. The net profit of Raiffeisen Bank Aval in the past year amounted to UAH 5.1 billion, what makes up almost one quarter of the total net profit of the Ukrainian banking system”.  

The top 20 rating included 14 banks with foreign capital and 6 banks with Ukrainian owners (4 of which are state-owned). The position of each bank was estimated by the Dragon Capital investment company with an account of the total sum of its scores based on the indicators of capital adequacy, liquidity, trust of depositors, shareholders’ support, profitability, quality of assets, as well as a number of qualitative indices (transparency, balance, risk management, reputation).
