Employees of Raiffeisen Bank Aval raised funds to support Kherson Regional Infectious Hospital
Being aware of the need of joint efforts to counter the coronavirus (COVID 19) epidemic, employees of Raiffeisen Bank Aval have participated in a charitable fundraising event to support the Kherson Regional Infectious Hospital, which was among the first hospitals that started treating coronavirus-infected patients.
Participants of the fundraising campaign that lasted in the bank from 8 to 27 April transferred their donations to a special account opened for this target by the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Krona”. The raised funds amounted to UAH 175,050 will be used for purchasing personal protective kits for employees of the hospital, so as medics are in the highest risk zone today.
As of today, the Kherson Regional Infectious Hospital has received the first portion of protection means, namely respirators, for the total sum of UAH 85,000.
In future, purchase of personal protective clothing for employees of the hospital is planned.
Earlier, Raiffeisen Bank Aval has also donated UAH 4.35 million for purchasing three artificial lung ventilation systems for Kyiv City Hospital #9 and Chernivtsi Regional Hospital; transferred UAH 140,000 for buying personal protective kits and payment of transport services for medical institutions that treat cancer-ill children; in cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Caritas-Ukraine” provided assistance sized UAH 250,000 to Chernivtsi region; handed protection clothing kits over to the Regional Clinic Infectious Hospital in Uzhgorod as well as to Rozhnyativ Central District Hospital and the Center for Primary Medical Assistance at the Rozhnyativ District Council of Ivano-Frankivsk region. The bank has also held joint campaigns with Visa company, directed at the support of medical institutions and medics. Among them are: raising and transfer of UAH 1 million for acquiring personal protective kits for employees of four hospitals in Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions; doubling every Box catering lunch for doctors paid by a Raiffeisen Bank Aval Visa card; transfer of UAH 50 for free taxi services for medics after each Bolt cab ride paid with a Raiffeisen Bank Aval Visa card.
The bank and its employees are caring about the safety of those who helps to fight the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine.
