Raiffeisen Bank Aval joined a charitable mini-football tournament to support children with Down Syndrome
Kyiv. 5 June. – The corporate team of employees of the Head Office of Raiffeisen Bank Aval took part in the 9th charitable mini-football tournament «Open Hearts Cup”, held on 2 June in Kyiv on the initiative of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Down Syndrome”.
The purpose of this charitable competition is to raise funds for the support of the Center of Early Development of Children with Down Syndrome.
This year, the organizers have managed to raise above UAH 232,000 for this purpose.
Fifteen corporate football teams from well-known Ukrainian companies competed at the tournament for the sake of helping children with Down syndrome. The fun group was represented by schoolchildren with disability and young people with Down syndrome.
Meanwhile football players were competing during their matches, parents with their children and other guests of the tournament were participating in an entertainment program. The program included games with animators, football playing, interesting contests. Besides, every little guest of the event received gifts from technical partners of the tournament.
By results of selective matches, two leagues were formed: the Golden League and the Silver League. Raiffeisen Bank Aval’s team took the second place in the Golden League, and the Best Keeper Cup was given to Mykhailo Batalynskiy, an employee of the bank.
Every year, volunteers from Raiffeisen Bank Aval take part in charitable sportive events for corporate teams, organized by the All-Ukrainian Charitable Organization “Down Syndrome”. These are bowling, mini-football and paintball tournaments. Their purpose is financial support of the programs of the Center of Early Development of Children with Down Syndrome.
