Raiffeisen Bank Aval continues to help doctors

Kyiv. 23 April. — Raiffeisen Bank Aval has handed over protective clothing kits to Uzhgorod Regional Clinical Infectious Hospital.

Personal protective equipment is extremely important for doctors and other healthcare professionals. Mykhailo Polyak, Chief Medical Officer of Uzhgorod Regional Clinical Infectious Hospital, said that doctors work in centers of infection today, where there is a risk to catch COVID-19: “We pay much attention to the safety of healthcare workers, so we need personal protective equipment today”.

Raiffeisen Bank Aval, in cooperation with Caritas Ukraine has provided assistance in the amount of UAH 250,000 to the benefit of the Chernivtsi region. Also, Raiffeisen Bank Aval has acquired three AVEA artificial lungs ventilation machines produced in the USA for the Kyiv City Hospital #9 and the Chernivtsi Regional Hospital. Together with Visa, the bank is transferring UAH 1 million for the purchase of protection facilities to four hospitals in Zhytomyr, Lviv, Kharkiv and Kherson regions. Assistance from the bank in the form of means of protection and payment of transport services has been also received by Kyiv doctors treating cancer patients.
